No Line Coloring with Colored Pencils & Exciting News!!

Hello!!

I'm stopping by with some exciting news!! It's been hard to keep this under wraps, but I'm happy and excited to be joining the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Design Team!!! Thank you, Amy!!  I'm going to have a great feature called Brew & Craft Your Stash that I hope you all will love!!

To help celebrate I have a Coffee card for you today! Lately, I have been seeing a lot of No Line Coloring with alcohol markers and I thought let's do that but instead of markers, I used colored pencils!!

I used Darcie's Heart & Home Yeti to Party! For a light ink, I used Memento's Angel Pink on Crafter's Companion Kraft card stock. The pink is very light and it was a challenge in the small detail areas. In the past I've also used Antique Linen Distress Ink, it's really hard to find something that you can see to color, but not see at the end!!

To color I used my CC's Colour Blend colored pencils: Pewter, Denim Blue, Royal Blue, Espresso, Timberwood, Smoke, Snow, Pink Blush, Black, Shamrock, Rock Pool, Jade, Mulberry. To help the white of the polar bear stand out I added blue sky around her.

I stamped the sentiment below the bear in brown ink and kept it really simple but just adding a few sequins!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Looking forward to seeing you all on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog!!

  3. Woo hoooo! What awesome news, Dana...so well-deserved! Yayyy! I've fallen behind in commenting (on a 'work-related' visit at my mom's, marking diploma exams. Long hours = foggy brain and blurry eyes, but time with mom and my niece and nephew in the evenings = priceless!); hope the 'thought bubbles' of awe have made their way to you! Your card: fabulous adorable! I want to give your bear a hug (and borrow his sweater and scarf!).
    Hugs~c
