Hello!!
Today I'm on the Art Impressions with a card featuring the Dare to Be Fabulous stamp set! If you need some quick backgrounds for cards AND you have lots of pattern paper scraps, I have the solution for you!
Cut card stock to your favorite size. Trim pattern paper scraps into strips. Adhere strips randomly to your cardstock panel and trim off overhang! Set aside for later use! I use strips from one pad, so that everything matches!! This helps if you need a quick card and don't want to spend a lot of time on the background!! The background below was made from an old Basic Grey Aurora pattern paper pad.
I stamped the group of ladies from the Dare to be Fabulous set and then colored them with my Spectrum Noir Markers! I do have the colors today!! You may have remember from last week my computer was acting up, well it crashed and could not come back! So I'm using an old one until I can sell some purged crafty items! Luckily I backed up my documents and pictures just that day it crashed!!
The SN markers I used were: AG1, AG3, AG5, AP1, AP3, AP4, EB5, EB6, FS2, FS9, HB2, HB3, IG2, IG4, IG6, IG8, LV3, MB2, MB4, OR2, OR3, TN2. Copic colors: E25, E57, E59.
I trimmed the image and then rounded the corners, then did the same after stamping the sentiment. Then I adhered the pattern paper panel to a white card base and then added the colored image. To make things interesting I added it at an angle!
Next, I added the sentiment with foam tape and some black and purple enamel dots. Using panels already adhered with pattern paper can really help you if you need a quick and easy card!!
Thanks for stopping by!!
Dana
