This is my second post today, click here for my TAWS card!
I have another card today! This card is for WPlu9 Designs Birthday Celebration - Step It Up Challenge. The challenge is have some dimension, any kind of dimension.
For my dimension i used a damask stencil and Ferro for the first time. The stencil is about 6 x 6 and i used watercolor paper as its very thick, figured it would stand up to the Ferro!
Well after it dried i went to trim it and found out that when dry the Ferro is brittle and breaks off easily when cut with a trimmer! So next time i will start with a panel in the correct size. I used scissors to cut it down and it wasn;t too bad, but i'm not sure its really straight! lol!
I already had the Fresh Cut Florals stamped (boy are they a lot of work!!!!) I added a strip of vellum across my card base and adhered the flowers. Then i stamped the sentiment on the vellum and added sequins!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Dana

ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I have been wanting some of that ferro, this is so cool!
ReplyDeleteWell, you learn by trying, right? I always start with a too-big piece as well :) I think it looks amazing, love the bits of glitter!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks lovely from where I'm sitting, Dana! My cards are typically 'slightly askew'- please, someone make a cutter that's fool-proof straight! Your pretty flower arrangement is stunning placed against the black/white background! Plenty of work, but well worth it. Gorgeous!
