Hello,
Today i am sharing a card i made for Winnie & Walter's 1st Birthday Sketch Challenge. Here's the sketch:
I started with a ombre pattern paper, cutting it to fit a white card base. Next i picked out some pretty flower pattern paper from the same pad. Then die cut the peony from the flower paper and black card stock. The flower cuts an outline of the peony and i adhered the black and flower outline on some white card base, then added the little inside pieces, black in the flower outline and the flower pattern in the black outline. I originally thought to only use one flower, but later decided to make the both flowers represent the two circles in the sketch.
I cut out the flowers from the card stock i adhered them too. With a black marker i inked the flowers edges. On the black outline flower i added a couple dots to the center with a white opaque pen.
At this point i decided to add some black ink splatters to my ombre pattern paper. While that was drying i worked on my sentiment. I die cut a double ended banner twice. Looking at W&W's The Big, The Bold and the Happy stamp set i decided to make a mother's day card. I stamped happy one one banner and mother's day on the other.
I added the black flower to my card base and the banners to the flower pattern one, then i added it to the card with foam dots. Last i added some sequins because sequins make anything better!! Luckily i had some pink ones that matched the pattern paper.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Dana
