Art Impressions Challenge #233 Door Openings
Hello!
It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #233 - Door Openings! AI has two new Mini Try, both with an outdoor theme! The challenge is easy, make a card with some kind of door or hinges!!
My card features the Produce Stand set! These are clear stamps with the matching dies, plus the packaging has the instructions! So I'm not going to bore you with how assembled my card!
To color the images I used my Spectrum Noir AquaBlend Pencils and a basic alcohol blender pen. This gives you the watercolor look without the water! Just note that the blender pen tip can get a little stained!
I used an older pattern paper collection, Farm Girl by October Afternoon. It has the perfect farm themed pattern papers that fit the Produce Stand set!!
Make sure you stop by the AI blog for more inspiration and play along for your chance to win some goodies!!

DIY Puffy Stickers with Pinkfresh Studio
Hello!
This is my second post today! I wanted to share these 2 cards that I made for Pinkfresh Studio May Challenge! Only a few more days left in May so had to get these posted!! The challenge is to use Puffy Stickers or use the color palette!
I only have Pinkfresh stamps, but that got me thinking.... I can make my own Puffy Stickers!! So, I pulled out the Playful Animal Friends 2 and inked up 4 dogs and 4 cats in navy. Then I inked up balloons with the other colors from the palette. I fussy cut out everything with sharp scissors.
Next, I added Glossy Accents to each image, including the balloons. It took a couple hours for them to dry. While they dried I cut two panels of watercolor cardstock. Then I used the same ink that I used for the balloons to some watercolor smooshing!
I trimmed the watercolor panels so they would be shorter on the vertical sides and added them to blue card base. Then, I stamped Make a Wish at the lower right corner of the watercolor panels.
Then I arranged the animals and the balloons, adhering them to the card. The dogs on one card and the cats on the other!
Thanks for stopping by!!

Lazy Summer Days
Hello!!
I'm on the Art Impressions blog with a beachy card!! Since it's been pretty warm in a good chunk of the country I figured it's time to break out the beach stamps!!
I started by stamping the vintage ladies from the Bathing Suit set on white cardstock, then I used my Spectrum Noir ColourBlend pencils to color it. I used: Canary, Pumpkin, Mustard, Peony, Fuchsia, Jade, Emerald, Saddle Brown, Velvet, Sea Urchin, Denim Blue, Petrol Blue, Black, Bark.
Next, I used a fancy die to cut it out. Then I used the Carta Bella Soak Up The Sun Collection for the background. I added that to a white card base. I added a green pattern strip across the card.
I added the fancy colored shape with foam tape and then from the same collection a banner sentiment and flowers. I kept the extra's simple to make it all about the ladies!
Thanks for stopping by!! Happy Stamping!!

Spring/Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop - Card 2
Hello!!
The Spring & Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop is in full swing!! Have you added your project to the link up?? It's how you have a chance at some great crafty prizes!! Just make sure it's about coffee or tea and has a spring or summer theme!!
I have a second card for the hop, this card features the new Cup of Columbine Digital Stamp! The wonderful Marcella at Power Poppy, send the DT the digital set to play with! It's new just in time for the Spring/Summer hop!! It also comes in a clear set that has sentiments that the digi set doesn't; have.
To start I printed off the light grey version of the digi after I adjusted the size a little in Word. I printed it on watercolor cardstock. To color, I used my distress markers, marking them on a piece of acetate and using a paintbrush and water to color the image. I used these colors: Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss, Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany, Victorian Velvet, Squeezed Lemonade, Fossilized Amber, Dusty Concord, Carved Pumpkin, Shaded Lilac, Gathered Twigs. I also googled Columbines to get an idea of the color patterns!
Since the image was printed in a light grey, I got a nice no line coloring look going with this digi!! Next, I stamped the sentiment Good Friends Procaffeinate Together in brown ink. The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Coffee set.
I found some pretty green pattern paper and wrapped some twine around it, tieing it in a bow. I trimmed down my coloring to a rectangle and rounded the corners. Then I used a Tim Holtz paper clip to attach it to the panel, I also used a little double sided tape to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. Last I added the panel to a white card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Make sure you link up your coffee spring/summer themed project and check out all the other links for some great coffee inspiration!!

Spring/Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop
It's that exciting time again!!! The Spring & Summer Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop starts today!!! YAY!!! We are switching it up a little this year, instead of separate Spring & Summer Hops we are doing them together!!! Make sure to stop by the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog to see all the fab sponsors, giveaways and a TON of inspiration!! Instructions are on the blog, but if you are not aware link up one or more spring or summer coffee theme project (on the CLC blog) for your chance to win!
Okay on to my cards!! I was in the mood for some coloring so I figured I would create a card set! I went a bit summer with my cards too! I'm ready for some warm (but not hot) weather! These cards use a few different stamp companies, but for all, I used Photoplay Paper Summer Day Dreamers collection pack.
I started with My Favorite Things Coffee Cup die and die cut it four times from white cardstock. Then I used Sweet Stamp Shop Explore The Sea and stamped three of the super adorable narwahls and on the third cup a couple of the shells and heart.
Then I used my Spectrum Noir Markers to color everything up! AB1, AB2, AB3, AP3, AP4, BGR3, BGR4, BGR5, CT1, CT3, CT4, DG4, DR5, DR5, DR7, GY2, IG1, IG2, IG4, PV2, YG1, YG2, VB2, VB3, Blender.
Then with the collection pack, I planned my the patterns, sentiments, and stickers I would use on each card. I'm not going to go into details because it's pretty self-explanatory! The coffee cups and most elements were popped on foam tape for dimension!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to make your spring or summer coffee themed project and link it up! I'll be back later in the week with another coffee card, more spring-like! And Friday is my day on the CLC blog, with a great new digi and some great ideas using up your crafty stash!!

Flock Star
Hello!!
I'm on the Art Impressions blog today!! If you are a fan of Flamingos and interactive cards you can't go wrong with the Flamingo Wiggle Wabble set! All the Wiggle Wabble sets are so cute!!
To start I added a Simon Says Stamp Dot & Lines stencil to the front of a white card base. I used washi tape to hold it in place. Then I added liquid glue to the stencil, just like it was paste. I set it aside to dry and cleaned off the stencil before the glue could dry.
While my background was drying I stamped and die cut all the pieces from the Flamingo set. Then I used my Spectrum Noir AquaBlend Pencils to color the image, instead of using water I used a basic alcohol blender pen to create a watercolor-like look. I used Petunia, Carmine, Ebony, Strawberry, Coral, Bottle Green.
Then I assembled the flamingo with the tiny brads that come with the set. If you run out an can purchase more here. Next, when my background was drying I added some gold foil and ran it through my die cutting machine. The dried glue is sticky enough to hold the gold foil.
I cut a strip of pattern paper from my scrap pile and stamped the Happy Birthday Flock Star sentiment. I added the strip across the card. Last I added the Flamingo with a wobble.
Thanks for stopping by!

Art Impressions Challenge #232 - Playing Dress Up
Hello!
It's the second week of Art Impressions Challenge #232 - Playing Dress Up. They have 2 new Girlfriend stamps!! My card features the Sunny Shades set.
I started by stamping the image on watercolor paper, then I used my Distress Markers to color it. I can't find my list of colors I used, but these are the most likely colors: Black Soot, Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso, Riped Persimmon, Carved Pumpkin, Abandoned Coral, Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, Fossilised Amber, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon, Pumice Stone.
Next, I used a square die to cut out the image. Then I used picked out scraps from Fancy Pant's Memories Captured 6 x 6 paper pad. I made sure each strip was straight and I adhered them to a white card base. I didn't worry about how wide the stripes were, the goal was to use up scraps!!
Then I adhered the stamped square, at an angle to the card. I stamped the Your So Cool sentiment and then cut it out. From my stash, I found some small black glasses which I added with a strong adhesive and the sentiment just above it.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Make sure you check out the Art Impression's blog for inspiration using these Girlfriend stamps and play along for your chance at some AI goodies!!

Crafter's Companion's AquaTint Pens
Hello!
This is my second post today, click here if you are looking for my Art Impressions post!
I'm stopping by with a card I made featuring Crafter's Companion products that were available earlier this month on HSN. I just checked HSN and it looks like the whole bundle of AquaTint pens are still available! Yay!! You can find more information about the pens themselves on Spectrum Noir's website!
I started by running some watercolor cardstock in the Brocade embossing folder through my die cutting machine. Then I added Amethyst, Pink Garnet, Aquamarine AquaTint ink to a piece of acetate. If you don't use all the ink, let it dry and you can reactivate it with water down the road!!
With a wet paintbrush, I added water to the embossed panel, then added each of the colors to the panel. I wanted the color to be intense, but you could, of course, add water to the ink to light the color. I added water here and there as needed to help the ink spread and mix with each other. When I was happy with the panel I set it aside to dry.
Next, I stamped the Thank You So Much and heat embossed it in white on a strip of black cardstock. The sentiment came from the Joyful Phrases stamp set.
When my panel was dry, I trimmed it up so it would be 1/4 inches smaller than an A2 card base. I added it to the black card base with liquid adhesive and then added the sentiment strip with foam tape. Last I added a few black enamel dots.
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Most of these products were available on HSN, you can keep checking HSN.com to see if they come back in stock or keep your eye on Crafter's Companion's website as sometimes they get stock and add it to their store!

Gotta Garden
Hello!!
I'm on the Art Impressions Blog today with a fun garden card!! It's finally starting to get warmer and spring tulips and such are blooming. If you or a friend are gardeners then AI's Gotta Garden is the perfect set to have on hand!
I started my card by stamping the lady, tools, and gnome on white cardstock. Then I used my spectrum Noir AquaBlend Watercolor pencils. I used Anthracite, Oregano, Apricot, Cypress, Rose, Umber, Ginger, Ebony, Fossil Grey, Midnight Gray, Strawberry, Carrot, Pineapple, Black Umber. Instead of using water to activate the pencil I used a basic alcohol blender marker. This gives similar results, but a lot easier, no guess on how much water to use. The pencils will stain your pen just so you are aware!
I fussy cut out the gnome/tools and then used a square die to cut out the lady. From my leftover stash, I found some paper that I had used some green ink of some kind to make a splatter background. I cut it into a square and added it and the lady square to a black card base.
Next, I stamped and white heat embossed the Crazy Gardening Lady sentiment below the squares. Then I added the gnome and tools with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Coffee Loving Cardmaking & Joy Clair Stamps Blog Hop
Hello!!
Coffee Loving Cardmakers and Joy Clair Stamps are having a Collaboration Blog Hop!! Joy Clair has some great coffee stamps and both design teams have some great inspiration for you!! You should have come from the talented Becca Cruger, or you can start at the beginning with Joy Clair's Blog! Make sure you comment at each stop for your chance to win a Joy Clair Gift Card!!
I used the Coffee Lovers stamp set and Photo Play Paper Gypsy Rose pattern paper and stickers. First I picked out a couple different patterns and stamped the coffee cup, then I fussy cut them out and adhered the coffee wrap. Then I cut a circle and stamped the I Love You. I stamped the Latte on the coffee wrap.
Next, I picked out the butterfly pattern and trimmed it about 1/4 shorter than the black card base. From a different pattern, I cut a small rectangle and wrapped some twine around it and tied it in a bow. I added this to the card with foam tape.
Then I added the coffee cup with foam tape and the sentiment. I also added a flower and couple heart stickers, though I always use baby powder on the back so they are not sticky anymore. Sometimes like with the hearts I add them with foam tape.
Thanks for stopping by! Your next stop is the fabulous Erin Thiem!

Teenie Weenie Hug
Hello!!
Today I have a card featuring one of the new Twist Ties! The Dog Twist Ties are soooo cute!!
The packaging comes with directions, so I'm not going to go into a lot of detail on how the card was made, just what I did a little different from the directions!! The main thing I did differently was stamping the dogs on the white card base, then again on some scrap paper.
I used my Spectrum Noir markers to color just the dogs on the scrap paper: CR7, RB1, RB2, RB3, RB4. Then I fussy cut the dogs out.
Next, I used the matching dies to cut out the heart and top part of the dogs. Then I added the pattern paper to the front panels and then used the dies again.
I added the dogs to the front matching them up to the die cuts. If you bring the two front panels together they twist around each other.
For the inside of the card, I added a flower pattern and then stamped the sentiment on a strip of white cardstock. On one end I wrapped some twine around it and tied it in a bow. Then I added the sentiment with foam tape.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
