Its time for a new challenge over at The Alley Way Stamps Be Inspired Challenge! This months challenge is a little tough for me! All i see is shabby chic, and i am so not a shabby chic kind of person!! Here's the photo inspiration:
I finally just wrote down the colors in the photo and made those colors my jumping off point. To start i stamped tiny flower from Big Chatter, i used a light pink dye ink. Then i used 3 little dots from Fly By and stamped those in a light green. Then i used a green ink spray to splatter all over my background.
Next i stamped the cute butterfly from Fly By and colored her up with the same dye inks i used for the background. I also used brown for the body and spots. Then i added 2 strips of kraft card stock across my card base.
I cut out my butterfly and adhered her to my card base with foam dots. Last i stamped the Hey You sentiment from Tri-Me! I think this is a perfect little hello card for a little girl!!
Make sure you play along with us (you have like 3 weeks, no excuses!)!!! :D I can't wait to see your creations!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Very sweet! I love the stamped/splattered background!
ReplyDeleteYour way of figuring out how to tackle the inspiration photo is brilliant! I get too caught up in - and, consequently, daunted by - the 'big' picture that I forget to look at the little details. Using your strategy, I see polka-dots, flowers, pastel pink and yellow, and even some deeper colours. Hey, I may have to play after all *grin* Your card is pretty+++ You've 'translated' the photo wonderfully! See...super talented you showcasing your creativity wonderfully!

This ended up being an amazing take on the inspiration! Glad to know too that I'm not the only one who struggles sometimes with seeing JUST the big picture details :)
