Today i'm popping in with a Sneak Peek for you!! New stamps are coming courtesy of The Alley Way Stamps! YAY!!! And your going to LOVE this months selection!! The set i'm Sneaking is Crossing Lines!! (there also might be another stamp from the release on this card, but shhhh! Don't tell!! hehe!!)
Crossing Lines is an awesome set with lots of options!! (you'll just have to wait till Saturday to see it!!) I used a couple stamps from the set to make my background. I embossed some lines in clear embossing powder and some in white (not that you can tell in the photo or really in person). The second set of lines were over already stamped and embossed lines, so you get a textured/aged look to them! I thought there would be a bit more difference between the clear embossed lines and the white embossed lines, but that didn't happen! lol!
While the background was cooling, i stamped the cut little bug and embossed him with clear embossing powder. I colored him with two greens and a purple distress markers. I also added some purple around him to help the clear embossing pop! I did the same thing with the Get Well sentiment (only used the purple though). I cut both out and set them aside.
I used the same colors to add some color to the background that wasn;t embossed. Then i die cut 3 small tags and adhered them across my card base. To hid the 'tag' part of the tags (the holes of each tag), i wrapped a purple ribbon around my panel and tied it into a bow. Last i added the sentiment and little bug to my card base with foam dots!!
You are going to love this set!! (i can't seam to put it down!!) For a chance to win Crossing Lines check out the other DT projects and leave a comment on The Alley Way Stamps blog post!! And don't forget to come back Saturday for the Hop and Reveal!!
Thanks for stopping by!!!
Dana
